Writer bio
http://aclevelanderinexile.blogspot.com
Jeff (formerly Dr. Poove') is a born and raised Clevelander, from THE 'Ville, who spent four years of college in Pittsburgh at THE Carnegie Mellon University from 1995-1999 where he couldn't even root for his beloved Browns. This has left him cursed to have a friend pool of half Browns fans and half Steelers fans.
He currently lives in exile in the Nation's Capital waiting for that fateful day when "You Know Who" dies and he can sneak up to Baltimore and tinkle on his grave. Why? Because "You Know Who" deserves it.
Jeff was born catholic but was taught to worship the Buckeyes on Saturday and the Browns on Sunday. He also lives and dies with the Indians and still follows the Cavs.
Jeff can be reached at smirnoff.je...

I am a 22 year old senior at the University of Dayton. After I was born in Connecticut, I moved to the Philadelphia area where I has developed a passion for all of the city's sports team. Do you have any idea how proud I am to say that the city's 25 year old curse is finally over and the Philadelphia Phillies are World Champions once again? Tears of joy came to my eyes when Brad Lidge threw that final strike in the bottom of the 9th in Game 5 and fell to his knees with his arms in the air....
In my spare time, I am a student manager at the recreational facility on campus. I am also the Public Affairs and News Director at the University's radio station, WUDR 99.5. My buddy and I co-host a talk show every Monday afternoon from 4-6. I'm also a sports broadcaster for the varsity soccer ...

3 - Sean Crowe
Writer bio
Sean Crowe got his start writing for the now defunct dailysportsreport.com (although we’ve recently been informed that DSR is back…but we assure you, Crowe has absolutely nothing to do with the new site).
His influences include ESPN's Bill Simmons (from his Digital City Boston days) and the Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy before he went catatonic and was replaced by a random negative article regurgitating robot. He hates everyone who writes for the Boston Herald except for Steve Bulpett & Rob Bradford. Mike Reiss is his favorite sports writer at the moment, but he’s looking into becoming the president of the Amalie Benjamin fan club—for whatever that’s worth.
Crowe is married with 2 beautiful daughters. His wife is obviously a saint for putting up with him for over five yea...

I am the most passionate, obsessed Philadelphia Eagles fan in the entire world. My obsession with the Phillies is almost as extreme as with the Eagles, but if I were forced to pick, I would rather see the Eagles win the Super Bowl than the Phillies win the World Series. (Update: My life has now changed drastically since the Phillies won the World Series.) I own eighteen Philadelphia Eagles jerseys, can tell you from memory the score of every Eagles game in the Donovan McNabb era and I can recall hundreds of totally useless statistics.
Last year, I was privileged to work at Lincoln Financial Field for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2007 season. As a member of the GameDay Staff, I had the responsibility of overseeing entire sections of the stadium during home games. I witnessed f...

Born and raised in Baltimore, Md., I enjoy writing about Baltimore sports. If you want to distract me from just about anything I'm doing, simply mention the word Ravens, Orioles, or Terps.
One of my fondest childhood memories is going to Memorial Stadium with my father to cheer on Cal Ripken and Eddie Murray. The chants of "EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE!" are still engraved deeply in my memory.
My favorite Baltimore sports memory is the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV victory and attending the victory parade in the pouring rain.
My least favorite Baltimore sports memory is the last 11 seasons of Orioles baseball.
Words that make me glad include Festivus, Natty Boh, Ray-Ray, and Orioles Magic.
Words that make me mad include Red Sox Nation, Jeffrey Maier, Steelers, and Elvis ...

The details about my life are fairly simple. I live in Brooklyn, NY, support the New York Jets, and love professional football down to the very core of my soul.
I believe opinions make the world go 'round, and refuse to falter on that stance. You can hold facts to your chest as closely as you please. I prefer to see them analyzed and disputed from a different, well-argued perspective.
Serious journalism is always welcome, but I'll be damned if we don't all love a good laugh. It's why I write serious pieces, and make plenty of joke ones.
Aside from spending an extraordinary amount of time analyzing sports I was never good enough to play on a professional level, I write various forms of fiction, my opinions on things unrelated to sports across the web, and school papers for ve...

First and foremost, I'm a family man with three great kids and a beautiful wife. I'm a MD Terp grad (mechanical engineering) and currently work for the US Navy as an aircraft fire protection test engineer. I've spent my life in or around the US Navy.
After high school (Broadneck High in Annapolis, MD) in 1985, I enlisted into the US Navy as a machinist mate, where I worked in the engine room aboard the USS Guam, LPH-9. I am a veteran of both Operation's "Desert Shield" and "Desert Storm". Through six years in the Navy I was fortunate enough to have visited/toured 12 other countries throughout the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf...I highly recommend it to any "single" person looking to serve their country, while broadening their horizons.

I'm 24, live in North Dallas, and I am a huge homer for all the teams I follow. I told you now, so you can't hold it against me in the future.
I went to Baylor University where I graduated with a double major in Marketing and Management. While I have always considered myself a good writer, I am not a writer by trade. Therefore, when and if I write articles and analysis on this site, there is almost certain to be grammatical errors. I don't care so don't bring them up to me. If it reads well and makes sense, then it is grammatically correct to me. (This is, of course, partially tongue-in-cheek. Nobody likes the "grammar police", but I welcome constructive criticism and article editing)
I have to admit, I do wish that I had studied some sort of sports journalism in school....

Bryan is a long-time Steelers fan, hailing back to the glory days of the 70's when he was barely big enough to hold a football without falling over.
He is married with six (yes, I said SIX) children and stepchildren, two of which are either currently serving or on their way to serving in the military. Since retiring from the military himself in October 2008, he has jumped into the education field, where he is substitute teaching while finishing his degree inn Social Sciences
Bryan enjoys watching his Steelers play hard-nosed football, and has grown weary of reading the "professional" reporters articles which in his mind, consistently fail to give the Steelers their due (Pete Prisco comes to mind). He has decided to ensure that the GOOD in the Steelers is given equal tre...

I am from Pittsburgh but have divorced the Pirates because their ownership has been so atrocious over the last few years. If they do in fact get better, I will root for them. I have a very special place for the Yankees because my first time ever being able to watch the late, late World Series games were in 1996 with my late father as the Yankees came back to beat the Braves. I hated the Braves because of the way they ripped the heart out of Pittsburgh fans out and it was a pleasure seeing a young Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettite come back from a 2-0 hole. So if you don't like the reason I am a Yankees fans, screw off!

Michael Whooley lives in the happiest place on Earth. No,not Disneyland; rather that beautiful city known as San Bruno in the wondrous state of California. A graduate of Providence College in Rhode Island, Michael has also done his time on the East Coast and has come to the conclusion that the West Coast truly is the Best Coast. Seriously, who needs snow? Michael emerged from his mother's womb decked in the red and gold of his beloved San Francisco 49ers. Growing up in the Bay Area in the late 80s and early 90s, Michael was spoiled and got to enjoy some of the best football any team has ever played (not just opinion, but a fact as solid as the fact that the male seahorse has the babies - look it up!) I'm just a normal everyday guy that can't wait for Football to start and NASCAR to end. I think football season should last as long as Nascar or basball. Why is it that the best Sport has the shortest season?

I am a big sports fan. I grew up playing almost every sport. Now however, I mostly confine myself to the big
three: tennis, golf, and ultimate frisbee. I went to school in Colorado where I played on my college tennis team and club frisbee team. I play golf for fun on the weekends. Other than sports, I enjoy writing and making short movies. I majored in English -- what I plan to do with that? I'll keep you posted.

My life in sports started with little league in a dirty little town named Pomona, Ca. Living with my Mother, a Sales person with product knowladge on everthing from babyfood to engine oil. We left Pomona to chase her dreams of top commisions and Pink Cadilac's with stops in Kansas City, Mo, St. Louis Mo and Chicago Il, never time for "trying out for the team" because we just weren't in town long enough. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, (the Mormons), first and foremost and served my mission among both PAC-10 and Conference USA fans in Tucson, Ariz. and El Paso, Texas. I love the NFL and am exceptionally pleased with the 4-1 start for my Denver Broncos, while I also like the Dolphins, Colts, Seahawks, Eagles and Lions. Obviously, some of these teams are successful, and some are not, but I also like the NBA (GO Mavs), college basketball and would like college football more, if it weren't for the lack of a playoff. I do have Italian in my bloodlines, so if I'm angry, that's why, while I also have British, Danish and Scottish stock. I am a graduate of Southern Utah University and currently work at Mid-Utah Radio in Manti, Utah.

I am a student at Southeast Missouri State University. I am a senior. I wrote some articles for our newspaper here but was not big into it because they would not let me follow sports. I have a minors in sports management and marketing. I would someday like to write sports or work behind the scenes for an NBA team. I played three years of High School basketball and one year of football. I love all sports except golf and nascar.
