AL Central Top Writers

Writer bio
I'm 16 and have been playing organized baseball since I was three and travel baseball since I was seven. I have been a die-hard Tigers fan since I can remember. I have had season tickets for about 10 years now and have been to 12 straight Tiger Opening Days. My favorite holiday is not Christmas, but Opening Day.
I am the Community Leader for the Tigers as well.
I am pursuing a career in Sports Broadcasting or Sports Journalism, so writing here on B/R is a good help at getting started. Right now I am the sports anchor on my High School's news show and I'm the play-by-play announcer for most athletic events at our school (mostly volleyball, basketball and football).
So, if anybody has connections let me know! I would love to get a foot in the door somewhere.

Writer bio
First of all I want to say that I pay attention to baseball and no other sports what so ever. The Mariners are my team, I bleed Blue and Teal. When I am older I am wanting to start a baseball store with batting cages, cards, gloves and basically the works. I am also A very devout Christian and if you have any questions about Christianity or Christianity in Baseball I would love to hear from you. Tha's the thing that keeps Josh Hamilton, Albert Pujols, Mark Teixeira, Matt Holliday, Todd Helton, Brad Hawpe, David Eckstein, Mark Mulder, Christian Guzman, Ryan Church, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettite and so many more players in common.

The one thing I accredit myself most for, keeping in mind the contents of this website, is being a huge Chicago Cubs fan and also watching the majority of the Chicago Bears games on television with my dad. I'm set apart with only my sister in a family of White Sox fans, but I'm still a firm believer in my team. My dream is to meet the players, which might not be so distanced for me considering the fact that my father is the boss of pitcher Sean Marshall's mother, and Marshall is definitely one of my favorites, along with Ryan Theriot, Reed Johnson and Geovany Soto. I found this website on a complete fluke but I already love it here, and everybody is so nice. Thanks to everybody who read my articles, and I plan to write many more in the future.

I started ChicagoCubsOnline in October of 2005 for a place for me to talk about the Chicago Cubs and to hopefully create a positive environment for others to do so as well. In the last three years the site has become more than I could have ever imagined.
The CCO has been recognized as a source for the latest news, updates and rumors on the Chicago Cubs. I’ve had my articles featured on the Chicago Sun-Times, named as one of the Best Cubs Blogs by the Chicago Tribune and the site is listed as one of the top Cubs Blogs on Sports Illustrated. I have also contributed information and used as a source for “Chicago Cubs Yesterday and Today”. I received an acknowledgement in the book as well as a source credit.

13 - John Garcia
Writer bio
Hey guys, my name is John. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Connecticut studying math education. I've always had a passion for Sports Journalism so that's why I'm here. I live on Long Island, NY and am a Yankee fan despite my parent's being Sox and Mets fans. For some reason I'm also a Denver Broncos fan. I've been since 1996 so I've been a fan before they won their first Super Bowl. Obviously, a Huskies fan too! Hopefully we'll bring a National Championship to Storrs this year.
