Scott Hartnell scored the game-winning goal against the Penguins on Sunday with just 0.9 seconds left in overtime to give the Flyers a 3-2 victory over their cross-state rival. The Regina, Saskatchewan native's tally ended Pittsburgh's 11-game win streak to bring Philadelphia to within three points of the Atlantic Division lead and the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Hartnell, 29, is in the midst of the best season of his career and has consistently been one of the most productive forwards in the league this year. His 35 goals rank third in the NHL, behind only Steven Stamkos and Evgeni Malkin.

The Penguins had dominated the Flyers through two periods on Sunday, leading 2-0 after 40 minutes and amassing 17 more shots on goal than their opponent.

But Hartnell put the Flyers on his back, tying the game 4:47 into the third and potting the game-winner in OT to give Pittsburgh its first loss since February 19.

Sunday's game was about as entertaining as hockey gets and could be a preview of a first-round playoff matchup, as the Penguins and the Flyers currently occupy the fourth and fifth seeds in the Eastern Conference, respectively.

The two teams play each other two more times in the regular season, both in Pittsburgh. The Flyers currently hold a 3-1 edge over the Pens thus far in 2011-12.
