Carlos Silva has had a rough go of things. Last year he was terrible. This spring he was unbearable. He's been pretty consistent so far this season but he has never found the magic of his 2005 season.

Today, after staying up half the night to witness th birth of his new baby Justin, Calos Silva got the first 9 inning complete game for any Twins starter in almost two years and his second career shutout. He went 9 innings, no runs, no walks, a few hits and a few strikeouts.
Silva got offensive help too, homeruns from Justin Morneau, Torii Hunter and (gasp) Lew Ford gave Silva plenty of breathing room. He didn't need it.
Twins win, 6-0.
