Gaston Ramirez's agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito, revealed in an interview with Radio Calcio Mercato that the Uruguayan may have played his last game for Bologna this season.
"Ramirez is a player who has had an important season and can now look to end this on a high at the London Olympics," D'Ippolito said.
"We will begin to speak with his club after June 1. It is very likely that this was his last year at Bologna, we have some offers."
Ramirez joined Bologna from Peñarol in 2010, making 58 appearances and scoring 12 goals in his two-year stint in Serie A.
He could be joining Liverpool, tempted by fellow countrymen Luis Suarez and Sebatian Coates.
Managing director Ian Ayre has released a statement that Liverpool will continue to look for transfer targets amongst back room reorganization: "It's a big machine that works around the acquisition of players at Liverpool and the fact that today we don't have a director of football or a manager, doesn't mean any of that stops."
If Liverpool were to bid on the player, it could be as much as €20 million.
There were reports in late March, however, that an English club has indeed bid on Ramirez.
Could it be Liverpool?
