Possible Trades the Lakers Could Make

Rob Mahoney@RobMahoneyNBA Lead WriterJuly 3, 2012

The Los Angeles Lakers are blessed and burdened with a tremendously talented—and handsomely paid—trio of stars, two of which rather suddenly appear unable to play together. Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol have had long, title-winning stretches of brilliant cooperation, and yet due to their more recent incompatibility, L.A. seems more limited than ever, and relatively unable to make the kinds of signings necessary to level out the roster.

That puts the potential for a considerable trade relatively high on the Lakers' possible offseason itinerary, but with what aim? What player should L.A. be targeting this offseason, and what would make for a reasonable package in exchange?
