After selling superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan is in need of a talented striker.

Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov is that talented striker Milan is seeking.

Berbatov's agent, Emil Dantchev, told calciomercato.com recently, via ESPN:

I cannot say much but I do say that Berbatov likes Milan and looks good in red and black.

Dimitar would run to AC Milan, because the club have appreciated him for years. They will have to speak with Manchester United and start negotiations.

Berbatov may be an older player at 31 years of age, but he still has plenty left in the tank. When he has seen the pitch at United, he's made the most of it, scoring seven goals in 12 games in the Premier League last season.

The problem is: Berbatov is currently situated behind Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, and that's not likely to change anytime soon at United. That's why you are hearing rumors of United offering the Bulgarian for £5 million.

Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals for Milan last season as the club finished second to Juventus in Serie A. He accounted for nearly 38 percent of Milan's scoring as the club went on to net a league-high 74 goals. His loss will certainly be felt at Milan.

But there is some hope for Milan if the club can start bringing in players like Berbatov to patch up the hole. Remember, Berbatov scored 20 goals in 24 starts for United as recently as the 2010-2011 season. He certainly has the ability to be serious threat around the net.

Milan sold Ibrahimovic to PSG because the money was too good to pass up. Now the club can get a bargain with Berbatov. It should be a no-brainer to bring him to Italy.
