Why Mikki Moore Will End Up with the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics knew they needed another piece in order to repeat as NBA champs. They made significant change to try to repeat on Thursday's NBA deadline.

The first move they made was trading away center Patrick O'Bryant to Sacramento for a heavily-protected conditional second-round pick from Sacramento.

The biggest move they are going to make, according to ESPN's Ric Bucher, is sign free agent Mikki Moore. Sacramento ended up releasing him after not being able to deal him at the trade deadline.

This will give the Celtics good bench help after losing shooting guard Tony Allen up to eight weeks due to his thumb injury.

Moore will give the Celtics another guy that can run the floor, hit mid range jump shots, and demonstrate good shot-blocking skills.

The Celtics did a good job at the deadline.
