This Is What Would Happen If: The Rock Returns For WrestleMania XXV

This is the second chapter in "This Is What Would Happen If..."

Many people have contributed their thoughts on which WWE Legend Chris Jericho will face at WrestleMania.

Ric Flair has been mentioned, much to the dismay of WWE fans who don't want to see the Nature Boy back in the ring after his emotional retirement.

Rowdy Roddy Piper is a possibility, but Monday night, he didn't look like he was in too good of a condition to get in the ring.

Stone Cold has been talked about, but like other B/R writers have indicated, Stone Cold's health is a serious issue.  Any mishap, could have serious repercussions.

Mickey Rourke's name has been rumored since the premiere of his movie "The Wrestler".  I doubt the WWE, Rourke, or the fans would really want to have this match at the 25th WrestleMania.  I might be wrong, but I don't see it happening.

I do see a realistic possibility.  The Rock is hosting the Kids' Choice Awards Saturday, March 28.  I am unaware if the show is live, or taped a few days in advance.  Regardless, this appearance wouldn't interfere in any way with the week of WrestleMania.  Specifically, Monday, March 30.

The Rock also has three movies coming out this year; Race to Witch Mountain, Tooth Fairy, and Planet 51.  The latter two films are already in post-production.

Chris Jericho will continue to torment the Legends of Wrestling on the road to WrestleMania.  Somewhere along the road, I can see a run-in or two with Stone Cold.

Jericho's tirade will continue all the way to March 30 in Dallas, TX.  As Jericho cuts an in-ring segment at the American Airlines Arena about how he has yet to find a worthy adversary for a match at WrestleMania XXV and all the possible challengers are washed up old men, The Rock's music will hit.

"Finally, The Rock has come Dallas, Texas."

The Rock will take the mic like only The Rock can, and unleash a verbal assault on Jericho like never before.

Jericho will talk about how he has no respect for the tired ol' vets, how he doesn't respect the idiots in the audience, and most of all how he doesn't respect The R..."It doesn't matter what you respect!"

The Rock may throw out the classic "Canadian Moose Piss" line, possibly give a shout out to Uncle Joe Jericho with the glass-eye and Grandpa Jimmy Jack Jericho.

Whatever The Rock has to say, it will be classic.

The bottom line is The Rock will defend his father, grandfather, and all the WWE Legends that helped build the business and launch The Rock's career.

The Rock will then issue a challenge, in a one of a kind match.  A match that will be titled: The Legends Lumberjack Match.

The Rock will invite all the Legends who want to be at ringside to watch him dismantle Chris Jericho and get a piece of him themselves.  The Rock will even invite fellow actor Mickey Rourke to be a lumberjack at WrestleMania XXV.

Ric Flair, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Stone Cold, and any other Legend Jericho crosses paths with on the Road to WrestleMania will be a lumberjack.  This prevents any serious injury to these guys, and allows Flair to stay in retirement.

Since the moment Jericho stepped foot in the WWE, there was an instant feud between The Rock and Chris Jericho.  It was a fateful night in Chicago when Y2J interrupted The Rock and unveiled his Y2J plan, which was countered by the KY Jelly Plan.

I may be living in a dream-world, but I believe if The Rock ever returns, this is the time.

This is WrestleMania XXV, folks.  Anything is possible.
