WWE SummerSlam 2012 Predictions: Lesnar Destroyed, CM Punk Hits Rock Bottom

For the fourth year in a row, the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California will host WWE's SummerSlam.

This year will be the 25th annual summer blockbuster held by the WWE and the icing on top of a great match card is Triple H taking on Brock Lesnar.

Also, Chris Jericho looks to get back in the spotlight and defeat Dolph Ziggler, who claims that Jericho, "doesn't have what it takes to win the big one."

Sheamus will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio is coming off a defeat of Chris Jericho last Friday on SmackDown and will look to continue his winning ways at SummerSlam for the Championship.

I would like to see Sheamus retain tonight, and I think he will.

CM Punk has been the WWE champion for quite some time now, since Survivor Series last November to be exact.

He will have to get through Big Show and John Cena in a blockbuster Triple Threat match if he wants to make it to Survivor Series 2012 as the WWE Champion.

WWE is right down the road from Hollywood, and it wouldn't be too far-fetched to see The Rock stick his nose in CM Punk's business tonight after Punk put him to sleep on the 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw earlier this month.

It could be The Rock Bottom that has Punk seeing stars in Hollywood tonight, literally.

Cena should capitalize and become a WWE Champion once again.

With both big championships on the line, all eyes still center on Triple H taking on Lesnar, in what will seem to be an ugly fight as things have become extremely personal.

Last Monday on Raw, Lesnar did to Shawn Michaels what he did to Triple H months before, breaking the arm of The Heartbreak Kid.

Michaels was to be in Triple H's corner tonight, but it is unclear if he will be present.

I would assume that we haven't seen the last of Shawn, and he may be the deciding factor on the outcome of tonight's big fight.

I do think Triple H will pull this one out; I mean, after all, he is the face of the WWE.

This isn't going to be a pretty match, and in what could be a possible final bout for Triple H in the WWE, he should destroy Lesnar and reign supreme.

SummerSlam has always been one of the biggest events of WWE's calendar year, along with Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and, of course, WrestleMania.

I am looking forward to the show tonight and I am sure all of the WWE Universe is as well. Enjoy one of the last fun events of the summer of 2012.
