Last year, football fans were treated to a shocker as Manchester United was ousted from the Champions League in group play.

This year, Man U will have to face Braga and CFR Cluj, along well as their first match against Turkish club Galatasaray.

Galatasaray is finally back in the Champions League for the first time in six years, and are currently sitting on top of their league.

This match should prove to be an interesting one as Manchester United will have a lot to prove coming off of the embarrassment of last season, while Galatasaray attempts to show it belongs in the Champions League.

Where: Old Trafford, Manchester, England

Manchester United Team Breakdown

Manchester United is coming into this game ready to go after winning their last three Premier League contests.

They are getting solid play on the offensive end, scoring at least three goals in each of those games.

While Wayne Rooney is still out for United, they will be able to rely on Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck and Robin Van Persie.

Watch closely for Van Persie who has been outstanding the last few matches and has four goals in his first four Premier League appearances for Man U.

Defensively, the Reds will rely on a few players to pull out a win.

Their captain, Nemanja Vidic, is back and he should provide a big boost in this game.

Also look out for Alexander Büttner, a defender who just made his debut for United against Wigan. He has looked good in his short time with the team, managing to score a goal in his first match. If he is able to keep up his strong play, the team should have no problem defensively.

Finally, Manchester will hopefully be able to rely on strong play from either goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard or David de Gea.

It's unclear whether Sir Alex Ferguson was simply resting de Gea against Wigan, or if Lidegaard has taken the reins, but either way the team will be getting strong goal play.

At least Lindegaard has yet to concede a goal at Old Trafford this season, which is impressive even if he has only played one match there.

Galatasaray Team Breakdown

Galatasaray is also coming into this game with a few wins on their record, after getting a victory in three of their last four games.

This is a team that has spent quite a bit of money over the last year after spending 20 million euros to bring in Nordin Amrabat and Burak Yılmaz, while extending the loan for Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo and striking another deal to get Umut Bulut.

Finally, the team added Hamit Altıntop from Real Madrid CF, which is interesting because he is a Turkish international.

Galatasaray is missing veteran defender Tomas Ujfalusi, who is probably going to sit the rest of the season.

They also may be getting back Engin Baytar who has sat for them so far this season due to a suspension.

Galatasaray has two players to really watch in this game.

The first is Umut Bulut who already has three goals this season. The forward will need to be on his game to give Galatasaray any chance of winning.

The second player is Nordin Amrabat, a Moroccan international who has one goal so far this year, but has looked outstanding up to this point.

I believe that Manchester United will make easy work of Galatasaray in this match. Man U's ability and depth should prove to be too much for the Turkish club and they will win 3-0.
