Ryder Cup 2012 play begins on Friday morning with a set of four foursomes. The first group hits the tee box at 8:20 a.m. ET.
There are several ways to follow the action aside from live televised coverage. RyderCup.com is offering live streaming of most of the action.
Friday matchups: Alternate shot
Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell vs. Jim Furyk and Brandt Snedeker: 8:20 a.m.
Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia vs. Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley: 8:35 a.m.
Lee Westwood and Francesco Molinari vs. Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson: 8:50 a.m.
Ian Poulter and Justin Rose vs. Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods: 9:05 a.m.
Four Ball matches are scheduled to start at 12:05 p.m. with new games starting every 15 minutes.
Davis Love III will captain the U.S. squad and is putting a formidable duo up at the first tee box.
Snedeker is fresh off his Tour Championship and FedExCup win. He's joined by Furyk to take on the top-rated player in the world.
He'll look to finish the opening round strong with Woods and Stricker.
European captain José Maria Olazábal is doing the same. Poulter and Rose should provide solid competition for the high-profile American pair.
Perhaps the biggest surprise on this list is the absence of Bubba Watson. He's had a very good 2012, but the overall strength of the U.S. team left little room for him in the opening round.
Bradley is playing in his first Ryder Cup and likely fills the spot Watson could have taken. Love III is mixing in some youth with Mickelson's experience.
