How Strange It Can Look: Star Athletes In Other Jerseys

With the signing of Brett Favre as a New York Jet last season, and how odd Terrell Owens will look in a Buffalo Bills jersey, I got to thinking about how some past and present stars would look when switching teams.

Lebron James as a New York Knick

While this is a very possible place for LeBron James to arrive before his career is over, as pictured above in a Photoshoped image, look how strange it already would look if he took off his Cavaliers jersey and put on a Knicks jersey.

Michael Jordan as a New York Knick

While I am on the subject of the New York Knicks, its no secret that the Bulls and Knicks had a nice rivalry going on. How strange would it look to see Michael Jordan in a Knicks uniform, or any other uniform for that matter. I still can't picture him in a White Sox and Wizards uniform after he dawned them, and the 45 on the Bulls jersey looks strange enough, but a Knicks jersey, you would give Bulls fans a heart attack.

Peyton Manning as a Tennessee Titan

Not only is Manning a former Tennessee player in college as a Vol, the Titans are in the NFC South with the Indianapolis Colts.  I can't picture him playing for any other team, much less the Titans. However, stranger things have happened to start quarterbacks. Do you remember Joe Montana as a Kansas City Chief?

Derek Jeter as a Boston Red Sox

Words don't and can't describe how strange this would look.  It will never happen.  Never.  But, if it did, you mine as well put me in a coma and wake me up when it is over because I wouldn't be able to stand the sight.

Kobe Bryant as a Boston Celtic

As Larry Bird would of looked as a Laker, imagine if Kobe Bryant put on the black, green and white and became a Boston Celtic.  Wow.  It took some time to get used to Bryant switching from No. 8 to 24, there isn't enough time left in my lifetime to get used to him as a Celtic.

Tom Brady as a New York Jet

You think Brett Favre looked strange as a New York Jets player, I've got a better one for you.  Super Bowl winning quarterback Tom Brady trades in his Patriots jersey for a rival Jets jersey.  Yeah, right.

Willie Mays as a New York Yankee

While the Yankees had a good center fielder in Mickey Mantle, imagine if one of the greatest of all-time played for the Yankees as well.  I can tell you first hand that I wouldn't of minded this.  After all, he is in my top three overall in the history of the game.

So, what do you think about these players above and how weird it would look?  Also, if you have some players to list in other jerseys past or present, I would like to see what you have.
