With just one week until TNA’s biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory, Impact Wrestling will have to wrap up all the storylines that have spent the two last months sputtering a failing.
TNA is in trouble.
There is almost no significant build to any real matches, and the bouts already announced mean nothing. Despite winning the BFG Series, many fans still don’t believe Jeff Hardy is the right answer for the main event.
Add in the chaos that is Aces and Eights to the year-late dream match between Roode and Storm, and this has become a complete mess.
Impact better be great Thursday or the buy rates for Bound for Glory will be as low as last week’s TV ratings.

Austin Aries vs. Jeff Hardy
While there is no doubt that with the proper build wrestling fans should be fully behind this main event, there hasn’t been an ounce of logical booking in the world title scene since Austin Aries won.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why don’t we care?
Fans love both of these superstars and this match on paper should be amazing. The problem is the back story of Aries being jealous of Hardy has contorted the lines between heel and face and ruined and ability for fans to pick a side.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 wordless Jeff Hardy promos
Since winning the BFG Series in the flukiest way possible, Hardy has said all of three sentences in build to this main event. With that said, the almost complete silence will continue and fans will continue not caring. What a shame.

Aces and Eights vs. Sting and Bully Ray
I’ll admit that I advocated for this storyline in the beginning, but that was because the Claire Lynch situation was clouding my judgment. This is definitely going down a horrible road—just ask Joseph Park and his electrifying situation.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Bully Ray turn on Sting?
There is no question that Bully Ray has been the biggest success in TNA this year and his inclusion in this angle would only be fitting if he was the mastermind behind it all. It wouldn’t matter who was in the gang as long as Bully Ray is the leader.
Hype Meter: 2 out of 5 Eric Bischoff reveals
As much as everyone is pulling for this to be someone interesting that can further TNA as a company, it will likely just be Eric Bischoff. Judging from last week’s episode featuring the leader speaking, the most we can hope for is that Bully Ray is the leader and Bischoff is just a member.

James Storm vs. Bobby Roode
While this should have been the main event for the company at this year’s Bound For Glory, Austin Aries happened. While TNA was right to capitalize on Aries' success, TNA abandoned the James Storm versus Bobby Roode storyline until the No Surrender, just one month before the biggest show.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why didn't they build to this more?
To be perfectly honest, this storyline is the best the company had going for it and it has royally screwed it up. With the fans not caring about either star right now, putting them against each other is the laziest way to culminate this story.
Hype Meter: 1 out of 5 super kicks to my brain
The fact that Beer Money was so dominant and Roode went on to win the gold was supposed to feature a year-long chase and a face win at Bound for Glory. If the idea was to get Austin Aries the title, why not have Aries drop the title so Roode could win it back and still face Storm at BFG?
The world will never know how great this could have been.
