Detroit Lions: Possibly the Best Team In The 2009 Season

l hContributor IMarch 11, 2009

The Detroit Lions have a good chance at being the best team in the upcoming 2009 season. The only reason they went 0-16 in the last season is simply the fact that Daunte Culpepper did not get enough sleep before games. I would not be surprised if Detroit makes it to the Super Bowl this upcoming season.

The only real problems I see are Calvin Johnson, Ernie Sims, and Kevin Smith.

All of those players need to be released as soon as possible. All they do is hold the team back. With a quarterback like Daunte Culpepper and his leadership skills, I think they will be in the Super Bowl next year with another great team like the Kansas City Chiefs. Daunte Culpepper could possibly even be the MVP next year in the 2009 season, but lets not get into that yet.

I expect that Daunte Culpepper will AT LEAST have a rating of 85 percent pass completion, and around 37 passing touchdowns. In all, Detroit played well last year in 2008, but will do even better this upcoming season.
