The release of Assassin's Creed just got more NFL swag thanks to Robert Griffin III

The Redskins quarterback who rocks silly socks off the field is embracing a video game that has been hyped for months in Assassin's Creed

The Washington Post reports the game released Tuesday has a limited edition bundle that may just interest all those RG3 fans out there.

It makes sense when you consider the QB who calls the nation's capital home would endorse a video game that puts a fun spin on the American Revolution.

The "Griffin Bundle" combines the video game that will take you back to the time of a red coats invasion with the "Limited Edition mi adidas CC Seduction shoe designed in collaboration with Robert Griffin III."

That's right, you also get some sneakers that have both Assassin's Creed and RG3 swag all over them, but in a very tasteful way. This endeavor could have easily produced some over-the-top sneakers you would never put on your feet.

Not these.

Here is what Griffin had to say via the press release from Ubisoft.

As the child of two American service members, I’ve always had a strong interest in our governmental system and understand the importance of bringing citizens to the polls in November. It’s a cause that is important to me, and the partnership with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III gives me another opportunity to show my support and encourage people to represent their country through the voting process.

I have no idea how this relationship came about or who thought of it, but it makes sense.

Somehow, someway, this is a brilliant use of an athlete who has a sparkling personality endorsing one of the biggest video game releases of the year.

You can get your bundle at the Ubi Shop online, but act quickly. According to Counter Kicks, only 200 bundles were produced.
