The Great One.
The People's Champ.
The Tooth Fairy.
Now, rumours are swirling of the part-time WWE superstar and Hollywood actor, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, appearing on a British reality TV Show.
The Brahma Bull looks set to launch a new level of his career on the UK's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. While his place is said to be still unconfirmed (http://tinyurl.com/dy9afhc), with a week to go until the programme starts, the former WWE champion looks set to feature.
For those that don't know, this TV show circles around a group of celebrities who jet off to the Australian jungle and are forced to live there for a stay of around three weeks. The show's format also sees the celebs take part in an array of ridiculous tasks that can range from having bugs dropped over your head to eating a kangaroos testicle.
This show sounds bad for The Rock, and it is. The celebrities featured are often no more than Z-list, and the show often serves as the final nail in the career's coffin. For example, stars like Hugo Taylor and Linda Robson (get Googling) are set to feature in this years show.
One has to wonder, which PR person has told The Rock this is a good idea. There must be plans to launch him as a star in the UK; however, this is the wrong way to do it.
In wrestling terms, with his Royal Rumble WWE Championship match set in stone, if The Rock comes out of this a laughing stock it can only serve to harm buy rates and the WWE's image.
Fingers crossed this is just the dirt sheet's usual rumours, and we don't have to see the People's Champ trending worldwide for the wrong reasons.
