Manchester City and Real Madrid will battle at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday in a highly-anticipated Champions League match, and if this game is anything like the first meeting between these teams in September, football fans will be delighted.

Los Blancos won the first Group D meeting 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu, and another victory will help them clinch a spot in the knockout stages of the competition.

The defending Premier League champions have not won a single match in the Champions League this season, but they still have some hope of qualifying for the next round, so they must play with a sense of urgency.

City does have a chance to defeat Madrid, especially with the attacking talent manager Roberto Mancini has at his disposal.

Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko are all world-class forwards, and capable of scoring against any opponent.

Madrid had some trouble defending Dortmund striker Marco Reus in the last two Champions League matches, so there's reason to believe that Aguero can have similar success. The Argentinian forward scored twice against Aston Villa over the weekend, and will be motivated to score against the rivals of his former club, Atletico Madrid.

The good news for City is that they are unbeaten at the Etihad in Champions League play (0-2-0), and Madrid's only group-stage loss came away from home (at Dortmund).

City are also very good in the Premier League at the Etihad (6-1-0), and have more than enough talent to beat Madrid. The Premier League leaders should be very confident ahead of the club's biggest match of the season.

Here's all the information you need to watch the action from Manchester.
