Kevin Durant continues to reach his lanky frame into the rap game, proving he can ball rather well in musical spheres.

You can be sure the latest rap song from the Oklahoma City Thunder star is not the last.

We've given up hoping athletes would learn their lesson and stick to their day jobs, picking up millions by playing a sport they love.

Athletes are going to make rap albums, and we are all just going to have to live with it.

With that being said, we have to applaud when hip hop is done right, and Kevin Durant brings a solid effort in his latest song (h/t SLAM) "Tha Formula" featuring B-Simp.

Caution that there may be a few NSFW words

You can take a gander at all the lyrics at Lyrics Freak, including the one where Durant drops his hip-hop nickname I am rather fond of, Sniper Jones.

Small talk or small money don’t fit on my schedule
I’m lounging back and I’m just making moves
I grew up broke but doing that time I was paying dues

It's not like Durant has tremendous shoes to fill, because the rap game is hardly dominated by those who make a living playing sports.

By all means, take a look at this list as evidence

Still, Durant proves he has the steady flow and cadence that people will actually enjoy listening to. It will take a great deal of work, something he is accustomed to doing, via the song's sentiment.
