If you weren't excited for the WWE's TLC pay-per-view event before watching Monday Night Raw, you should be now after it was announced that CM Punk will defend his WWE title against Ryback in a TLC match.

WWE had the news via Twitter:

It's ON! It'll be @wwe Champion @cmpunk vs. @ryback22 in a #TLCMatch at #WWETLC Dec. 16 at @barclayscenter! #RAW

WWE (@WWE) November 27, 2012

This is going to be exciting, and Ryback made that obvious with how he presented it Monday evening.

After Ryback stated that he wouldn't leave the ring without getting a match with Punk, security guards tried to remove him. He took care of those guys, bringing Vickie Guerrero out to express her understanding with his situation.

She asked him to leave, but he won't until she gives him the match that he wants. Finally, after going back and forth with Vickie and more security guards, Ryback is given what he wants.

In turn, the WWE world will get what it wants as well.

This has the makings of an excellent match. Ryback is becoming a more well-rounded character, and his confidence is building as he learns what his role is in the industry.

Also, you have the Hell in a Cell match to think about. Ryback wanted to win the WWE championship there, but interference from the referee didn't allow that to happen and created more bad blood between Punk and Ryback.

The WWE set this up really well. Ryback is a rising star, and Punk has enjoyed a long run as a WWE champion. This creates an opportunity to really change things up, or continue building toward WrestleMania.

Don't miss this one, folks. Putting Ryback in a TLC match is intriguing by itself, but adding the title belt to it makes this must-watch television.
