With Christmas falling on a Tuesday this year, WWE decided it would spread some holiday cheer by taping next week's edition of Raw early in order to give the crew an extra day off to be with their families and celebrate the festive occasion.

Coming on the heels of a TLC pay-per-view that was one of the best WWE has done in a long time, not to mention the sudden youth movement that continued this week on Raw, this taped episode has a lot to live up to.

Since this is the giving season, we are going to provide you with spoilers for all the matches that took place at the tapings in Pittsburgh, plus a look at some of the top storylines to come from the show.

As always, if you don't want to know what happened and save the surprises for Christmas Eve, stop reading now.

Ryback Challenges CM Punk to WWE Title TLC Match on Jan. 7

With CM Punk and Ryback already agreeing to work a match since they weren't able to at TLC due to Punk's surgery, Ryback decided to interrupt a promo involving Punk and Paul Heyman to issue a special challenge to the champion.

In their championship match on Jan. 7, not only will the WWE Championship be on the line, but Punk and Ryback will be having the match they probably would have if Punk had not gotten hurt: Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

This is a good way to end the storyline between the two, since they weren't able to close this chapter when they wanted to. Punk can retain the title in a good match on television that will help Ryback look like a star.

When the match is over, Punk can fully turn his attention to the Royal Rumble and The Rock on Jan. 27.

Alberto Del Rio Ruins Christmas

Apparently WWE wasn't serious about the babyface turn for Alberto Del Rio at the TLC pay-per-view. Not only does he wrestle John Cena in the main event of this taped show, but he also starts the show by hitting Santa Claus with a car.

What a great, WWE way to horrify children just hours before Christmas, by having the man who is supposed to bring them presents run down by a narcissistic wrestler and then making viewers watch as Santa gets taken out of the building on a stretcher.

That has to be that Vince McMahon sick and twisted sense of humor. Apparently it worked, as the crowd chants "You killed Santa!" at Del Rio.
