The 2012 campaign was a brutal season, one that started with the contentious holdout by, then injury to, their best player in Maurice Jones-Drew and saw the unceremonious relegation of Blaine Gabbert, once considered the future of the franchise, to a failed experiment.
With that said, it's never too early to start looking forward to the NFL draft, where hope reigns supreme. And outside of maybe the Kansas City Chiefs, there isn't a team in the league in more need of some hope than the Jaguars.
Matt Miller and I went to Highland Park here in New York City, invited a bunch of NFL fans and tried to figure out where Jacksonville can start to look in April's draft to increase their dilapidated talent pool.
