The age of the dual-threat quarterback is truly among us, and 4-star recruit Bucky Hodges will be the next in an assembly line of great signal-callers upon arrival.

Hodges was a sought-after recruit due to his fantastic athleticism and natural football abilities.

Hodges is a crowning jewel in the making. A scintillating young quarterback, Hodges excelled at Salem High School in Virginia Beach and is considered the 11th-best player in the state of Virginia by 247 Sports composite ranking. The website also ranks him as the sixth-best dual-threat quarterback and No. 223rd overall recruit in the nation.

Hodges is a mammoth quarterback who is captivating in the ground game with almost a Cam Newton-like combination of size and speed. He's also a strong pocket presence who senses pressure well and can fire off accurate passes in the short and intermediate routes.

Like most quarterbacks his age, Hodges does have some glaring problems. He has a tendency for wild inaccuracies and will need a quarterback coach to work on his mechanics.

Luckily, he will have some time to develop into the star many envision he will surely become. As long as he's given time to grow under center and not hastily moved to another position, Hodges could wind up being a very good quarterback down the line.
