WWE Planning To Stack The Next Two Weeks of RAW (via LordsofPain.net)
"The January 7th episode of RAW with The Rock's return and Ryback vs. CM Punk is said to be an "all hands on deck" show with virtually every major big name being called in.
Then, WWE has the big RAW 20th Anniversary show on January 14th where they will be bringing several old names back. They may to bring back some names we don't see too often since some just appeared on the recent Slammys episode. Being in Texas, appearances by The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels are likely. It's also expected WWE will make the first Hall of Fame announcement that night."
Analysis from "Jersey Strong" Jay
This seems to be perfect timing for WWE to have a few big, major, stacked shows on Monday Night Raw. Coming off the holidays and obvious low ratings, these big shows will be a breath of fresh air for the fans and the company. The Rock is confirmed and many huge names should be returning for the 20th Anniversary episode.
Will there be a WWE Championship change this coming Monday? I think this would be the wrong time to put the strap on Ryback. Everyone is expecting a huge match at Royal Rumble between CM Punk and The Rock. Somehow, someway, CM Punk will retain the WWE Championship.
Who to expect on the 20th Anniversary of Raw? I personally expect some of the usual suspects to return. Hopefully, WWE will provide some huge names like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, but I expect "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Hillbilly Jim, Ron Simmons, Goldust and a variety of other WWE returning legends. I really wish that WWE would bring back legends that we haven't seen at all in recent years.
Brock Lesnar Expected To Return Late February/Early March (via LordsofPain.net)
"Brock Lesnar is expected to return to WWE TV for multiple appearances in March, likely beginning in late February. Unless plans have changed, he will be building towards the WrestleMania 29 match with Triple H.
Speaking of Lesnar, his contract expires with WrestleMania and it's unknown yet if he has re-signed for another year. WWE will be facing the same issues they do every year once WrestleMania is over with four of the expected top six headliners not appearing much if any at all after April - The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H and Lesnar."
Analysis from Seth M. Guttenplan
With the apparent news that Brock Lesnar may be returning to WWE in late February/March to start his push to WrestleMania with Triple H, it is the same way I felt after SummerSlam. There should not be another Lesnar-Triple H match.
What does this feud do for anyone? Nothing. Triple H’s role as COO has not been seen on WWE TV in months. Triple H seemed to be done wrestling after his match with Lesnar and his infamous haircut. I wouldn’t mind seeing Triple H as an authority figure on WWE TV, but his days as a top wrestler should be over.
Brock Lesnar is a part-time wrestler that we also haven’t seen on WWE TV in months. As a part-time wrestler, it is difficult to take any of his feuds seriously. While the Rock is a part time wrestler too, he is at least trying to win a World Championship. Who even knows what Lesnar is trying to accomplish.
Lesnar is better off entering the Rumble and trying to win the World Heavyweight Championship than having an unnecessary meaningless feud with Triple H.
Evan Bourne Expected To Return After WrestleMania 29 (via LordsofPain.net)
"As noted earlier, Evan Bourne will not be back in time for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. WWE officials are not expecting Bourne back until WrestleMania 29 at the earliest, but likely right after WrestleMania."
Analysis from Graham "GSM" Matthews
It seems as if luck hasn't been on Evan Bourne's side in the past year. After being suspended twice due to violating the WWE Wellness Policy, he suffered a serious foot injury in a car accident last March and hasn't been seen since. It's a shame, too, since Bourne has loads of talent that's going to waste by sitting on the sidelines.
However, a recent report indicated that Bourne is expected to be sometime following WrestleMania 29, which gives high hopes that he might finally utilized correctly upon his return.
What's Next for Evan Bourne in WWE? Given the fact he was suspended twice before getting injured, I wouldn't be surprised to see WWE drop the ball on Bourne's return, but I'd love to see him either pick up where he left off with Kofi Kingston in Air Boom or embark on a singles run with Antonio Cesaro.
Those two could have some fun matches together over the United States Championship and just imagine Bourne's selling of Cesaro's European uppercut. Regardless of what feud he's involved in, I'm very much looking forward to Bourne's return in the next few months.
