Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons: NFL Playoff Preview and Predictions

Aaron Nagler@Aaron_NaglerNFL National Lead WriterJanuary 7, 2013

The Seattle Seahawks have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and they're all out of bubblegum.

The Atlanta Falcons once again find themselves with the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, taking on the hottest team in their conference in the divisional round. Much will be made of the Falcons' problems in playoffs past, but that will mean little when they put on the pads this weekend and face off in the Georgia Dome at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 13.

The pressure may rest squarely on the Falcons to overcome past playoff failures, but the Seahawks will be facing pressure of their own in having to travel cross-country yet again for a do-or-die matchup with an Atlanta Falcons team that will be rested and ready after enjoying a bye week.

Whether it's the Falcons wide receivers trying to shake free of the Seahawks' physical corners or Seattle's offensive line working to give Marshawn Lynch space to operate (not that he needs much...), this game is full of great "don't keep your eyes on the ball" matchups.

In the video above, we look at what we think will be the most important matchups and give our picks for the game. Let us know in the comments below where you agree or disagree and who your pick is to win the game.
