It is officially Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which means the happiest marathon on Earth is right around the corner.
The weekend's festivities are well under way, as the Disney Kids Races, Family 5k Fun Run and Walt Disney World Half Marathon have all wrapped up. The 26.2-mile main event begins bright and early Sunday morning.
It should be an exciting day in central Florida as the 20th annual Walt Disney World Marathon could be the best of them all. Here is all the vital information you need to know.
When: Sunday, Jan. 13 at 5:30 a.m. ET
Where: Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, FL
Route: Runners will travel through all four Walt Disney World theme parks. The course begins at Epcot, then takes runners through the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The race will conclude at Epcot.
Runners will also pass through the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and race along the Walt Disney World Speedway.
Weather (via weather.com): It will be an excellent day for running, as temperatures will hover between 65 and 80 degrees throughout the duration of the race. The expected high is 83 degrees, and the forecast calls for mostly sunny weather.
There is only a 20 percent chance of rain, which is great news for the participants.
