WWE To Cease Operations After WrestleMania XXV; Bad Economy To Blame!

After nearly 30 years and 25 WrestleMania's WWE owner Vince McMahon has decided to fold the WWE following WrestleMania XXV this Sunday.

Even though over 70,000 are expected to attend the event live in Houston at Reliant Stadium and millions more will be tuning in world wide on pay per view it just isn't enough to keep things going, in fact the end will occur live on WWE RAW Monday night on USA network.

The economy is to blame.

Ticket sales are down, pay per view revenue is down, and so are merchandise sales.

WWE Films latest release "12 Rounds" starring John Cena has been a box office flop as well.

When asked about his decision to end the WWE and leave a giant void in the world of "sports and entertainment" Vince McMahon had this to say...

"April Fools!"
