Chael Sonnen is great at Twitter. Really great, actually. He's also great at responding to detractors on Twitter.
When Vitor Belfort ripped on Sonnen, calling him a “bum” and saying he wants Jon Jones to beat him, “The American Gangster” was quick to respond. Via Twitter:
Chael to Vitor: "You've been telling the world you want to meet Jesus and I am happy to arrange that travel." Jon's next, but "I accept"

Sonnen and Belfort have an ugly beef that dates back a couple of years. While Sonnen was trying to secure his rematch with Anderson Silva after losing at UFC 117, he made a habit of calling out other Brazilian fighters in Silva's circle, but primarily took swipes at Wanderlei Silva, Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort.
Again, Sonnen is no stranger to responding to his critics on Twitter. He recently took swipes at Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who expressed his distaste for Sonnen's wrestling-focused style. He also called out cyclist Lance Armstrong on Twitter shortly after news broke he was admitting to using performance-enhancing drugs to win his seven Tour De France titles.
Hilariously, Sonnen is a regular commentator on Fuel TV's UFC coverage, and was actually talking up Belfort before UFC on FX 7 started. He has also found himself sitting next to Lyoto Machida and other fighters he has criticized over the years during this work. Both Sonnen and his co-anchor, bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, chose Michael Bisping to win.
At this time, Belfort and Sonnen find themselves competing in different divisions, with Belfort fighting as a middleweight and Sonnen in line for a light heavyweight title fight. If the two do end up fighting, however, expect fireworks.
