30 competitors will enter the Royal Rumble this Sunday, but only one will win.
There will be some big names entering the Rumble, but when the match finally comes to an end, John Cena will be the winner of the Royal Rumble.
After the bad year Cena had in 2012, expect the Dr. of Thuganomics to bounce back, and win the Rumble to earn a title shot at WrestleMania.
And while there will be other wrestlers entering the Royal Rumble who could use a push or use the win to get back on track as a top wrestler, the WWE will use the Rumble to set up Cena for a possible rematch against the Rock at WrestleMania 29.
Only a handful of wrestling greats managed to win more than one Royal Rumble match, and the WWE will make sure that the current face of the company will be added to the list.
John Cena will win the Royal Rumble on Sunday, and it will set him up for a WrestleMania match against the WWE Champion.
Once In a Lifetime Rematch
There are plenty of reason why Cena vs. the Rock shouldn't happen again. If the WWE feels like a rematch between the two would draw close to the same amount as their first WrestleMania match, then a rematch should be expected.
But in order for the Rock and Cena to cross paths again, the WWE needs to set up both wrestlers. The Rock will more than likely end up winning the WWE Championship before WrestleMania.
Which only makes Cena look even more likely to win the Royal Rumble.
And with Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com reporting that the current WrestleMania plans are for the Rock and Cena to square-off, it only makes sense for Cena to win the Rumble, and earn a title shot at WrestleMania.
Cena will win the Royal Rumble because the WWE will more than likely have Cena and the Rock faceoff again at WrestleMania.
Moving On From Last Year
John Cena had a bad 2012. From being the target of Brock Lesnar, to losing a match against John Laurinitas, Cena's 2012 was one of the worst years for the face of the company.
His biggest loss though, was going the entire year without winning the WWE Championship. He also become the first Money in The Bank winner to use his WWE Championship contract and not win the title.
Eventually a burden like that would fall on to one wrestler, and Cena was the one who took on that burden.
Now, after having a rough year, the WWE will undoubtedly push Cena into the title spotlight, and it starts with a win at the Royal Rumble.
What better way to move on from a bad year then winning the Rumble and getting a championship match at WrestleMania?
Cena will go down in the history books with names like Shawn Michaels if he wins the Royal Rumble.
And after somewhat sitting on the side last year to give CM Punk the spotlight, Cena will come back strong this year, walk away with the Rumble win, and become one of the rare wrestlers who managed to win more than one Royal Rumble.
If not Cena, Who Else?
Of course there are other wrestlers who look like solid picks to win the Rumble, but would they make more sense than Cena?
The WWE probably wont use the Rumble push on a up and coming wrestler, specifically since guys like Wade Barrett and Antonio Cesaro are still hovering around the Intercontinental and U.S. titles.
Ryback might seem like another possibility but don't forget, he was only rushed up to a championship match because of John Cena couldn't compete due to injury.
Other wrestlers like Randy Orton or Dolph Ziggler seem like good bets as well, but with Orton scheduled to make a heel turn, and Ziggler already holding onto a Heavy Weight contract, it seems unlikely either of them will win the Rumble as well.
Sheamus could possibly repeat, but with Orton vs. Sheamus in the works for WrestleMania 29, it seems unlikely that the Great White will win the Rumble.
Cena seems like the only logical winner, if the WWE is planning a rematch of Cena vs. the Rock at WrestleMania 29.
After the bad year Cena had in 2012, look for him to bounce back this year and start his road to WrestleMania with a Royal Rumble win on Sunday.
