2013 Australian Open—women's semifinal.

Score:

Li Na [6] def. Maria Sharapova [2] 6-2, 6-2.

Analysis:

An incredible win from Li Na here who gets the upset over Maria Sharapova to book her place in the 2013 Australian Open final.

After breaking the Russian in the opening game of the match, Li Na's hitting ability was clearly the difference here as she simply overpowered Sharapova.

It might not be the upset that Sloane Stephens pulled off against Serena Williams yesterday, but considering that Sharapova had conceded just nine services games all tournament, this was some sort of performance from the Chinese star.

The No. 6 seed will now face either Stephens or World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka in the final, whose semi-final encounter is to take place shortly.
