As we head toward another episode of TNA’s Impact! Wrestling, the drama that unfolded on last week’s broadcast will force fans to tune in Thursday just to see what kind of payback Bully Ray and the Hogan family will be looking for.

In a shocking turn of events, it was Bully Ray’s long-time friend Taz that interrupted the wedding of Bully and Brooke Hogan and gave the Aces and Eights enough time to swarm the ring and attack the celebrators.

Add in the fact that two titles will be defended Thursday—Jeff Hardy puts the world title on the line while Tara defends the knockouts title—and this episode of Impact! Wrestling could be the wildest in years!

Where: Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla.

When: Thursday, Jan. 24, at 8 p.m. ET

Watch: Spike TV

Wedding Chaos Aftermath

Despite how genuinely insane it is to have Brooke Hogan marry Bully Ray in this storyline, TNA’s inclusion of Aces and Eights in this angle could lead to many interesting outcomes. The problem with the ending was that the big reveal was just color commentator Taz.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Where Will Taz’s Reveal Lead?

In normal wrestling story progression, each of the revealed gang members would have to feud with the person that unmasked them and the battle would culminate with a great PPV match. The problem here is that Taz can’t wrestle anymore, so there will be no match resulting from his turn on Bully Ray.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Genuine Swerves

While I will be the first to say that I didn’t see a Taz heel turn coming, the fact that TNA swerved the fans isn’t necessarily a good idea. Unless the company has something creative up its sleeve for the announcer, this could be the least impactful reveal since Mike Knox.

Jeff Hardy Defends Against Christopher Daniels

There is no questioning TNA world heavyweight champion Jeff Hardy’s ability in the ring, but his limited mic skills have hampered his title reign. Lucky for the champion and TNA, Christopher Daniels—one of the few bright spots for the company—is the new No. 1 contender and is getting a title shot on Thursday.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Why Give this Match Away on Free TV?

Daniels has been amazing over the last year, and his inclusion in the world title scene is a great reward for all his hard work and success solo and with Kazarian in Bad Influence. That said, TNA is giving this PPV-quality match away on television instead of building this feud up to a huge culminating bout.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 In-Ring Masterpieces

Hardy’s credentials are well documented, but Daniels doesn’t get enough recognition for his success in TNA or his success in Ring of Honor before that. As one of the most talented in-ring workers in the business, the match between Daniels and Hardy Thursday should be amazing.

Add in the Kazarian factor, and Impact! could get wild.
