We are sure Derek Jeter thinks the world of his girlfriend, but it's becoming increasingly clear the world is about to fall in love with Hannah Davis, a woman who is featured heavily in a DirecTV commercial.

One look at Davis and you might exclaim, "oh, yeah. I've seen her." It's a sentiment becoming far more widespread as Davis moves ever closer to being the "It" girl of the moment.

Back in December, The New York Post reported a rekindling of romantic fire between the Ralph Lauren model and the star Yankees shortstop.

As Coed Magazine spotted earlier this month, Davis is stepping a tad further than mere modeling for companies such as Victoria's Secret and Ralph Lauren.

Yes, that Genie ubiquitous in DirecTV ads is indeed Hannah Davis, grabbing the attention of sports bros nationally with a sly look and genie magic.

There she is making like a genie and showing up as two guys sit around and watch TV, my favorite of pastimes. I can only imagine we will see a great deal more of her in the future from the satellite TV provider.

The actual Genie service is a HD DVR that records five shows at a time, so you can finally catch up on all the Honey Boo Boo antics you have been dying to see.

This is hardly the biggest potential news for Davis, because there is some tantalizing scuttlebutt hinting that she could very well be the cover model for Sports Illustrated's 2013 Swimsuit Issue.

The NY Post recently claimed she is the top contender to land the vaunted cover recently held by Kate Upton in 2012.

Davis, a model for Ralph Lauren who has been seeing Derek Jeter, will make her debut in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The shoots have just wrapped up, and we’re told green-eyed Davis, 22, made a “rare, huge first impression” on the SI editors for her rookie issue. Sources told us Davis could even be one of the beauties in the running for this year’s cover.

You only have to consider the rise to prominence that the cover gave Upton to realize how tremendous this would be for Davis, especially in her first foray into the popular issue.

While you might be somewhat familiar with Davis' image, I am increasingly confident you will be well acquainted with her by the end of 2013.
