It was a bitter sweet victory in Boston on Sunday for the Celtics.
Sure, they beat the dreaded Heat in a double overtime classic, but they also lost star point guard Rajon Rondo to a torn ACL.
As for the happy news for Celtics fans, Paul Pierce drilled the game winner with 31 seconds left. The Heat had a chance to retake the lead, but after Pierce grabbed the board from a LeBron James miss, the game was all but over.

If Pierce can keep playing like this, the Celtics won't be dead in the water without Rondo. Pierce had the above-mentioned big plays, and he finished with 17 points.
What was really most impressive though was his performance in other areas while recording a triple double by adding 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
This was the first game of a four-game road trip for the Heat. Up next for the defending champs is a trip to Brooklyn to take on the Nets on Wednesday, they will then head to Indiana to take on the Pacers on Friday.
For the Celtics, this was the first game of a four-game homestand. They will host the Kings this Wednesday and then the Magic on Friday.
