After one of the most memorable Royal Rumbles in history, WWE is officially on the 2013 road to WrestleMania 29, and that will be reflected in Monday’s edition of Raw.

There is still plenty of time before the company’s biggest event, but the groundwork has been laid for the next three months of action in WWE.

Now is not the time for the WWE Universe to miss a second of the wild build to WrestleMania 29.

With plenty of loose ends to tie up from the Royal Rumble Monday night on Raw and The Rock’s WWE Championship celebration, this week’s edition of the company’s flagship show will be the best in a long time.

The Rock defeated WWE Champion CM Punk.

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Big Show (Last Man Standing Match).

John Cena won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match.

WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No defeated Team Rhodes Scholars.

U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro defeated The Miz (Pre-Show).

According to F4WOnline.com, despite the fact that Rey Mysterio was in the Royal Rumble match, Sunday, the veteran star is still officially taking time off and was just brought back for the excitement of one night. It’s unclear what the future holds for the former champion.

A New Champion is Crowned

Despite CM Punk’s 434 days as champion—a reign that will live on as one of the most entertaining in years—it was The Rock that walked out of the Royal Rumble with the WWE Championship, and the honor of being called the best in the world.


Question on Everyone’s Mind: Is The Rock the Right Champion?

While there is a contingent of fans that don’t believe a part-time superstar like The Rock should have the title, the financial benefits of having a megastar like Dwayne Johnson taking the WWE title on the talk-show circuit while promoting his movies are through the roof.

This was the right move for WWE as a business.

In one of the best twists to any edition of Raw, the Raw Roulette board could make for some of the wildest matches and the oddest situations the fans would ever see from WWE’s biggest show; the unpredictability of the wheel will cause high drama Monday night.
