Big news on the WWE front, as WWE.com report that the "WWE chairman" Vince McMahon was injured during Monday night's Raw.

According to WWE.com:

WWE.com sources indicate that Mr. McMahon suffered a broken pelvis as the result of Brock Lesnar's surprise attack at the conclusion of Monday night's Raw.

After revealing some damning evidence that exhibited Paul Heyman's connection to both Brad Maddox and The Shield, the WWE Chairman had made up his mind to fire Heyman in front of the entire WWE Universe. But just as Mr. McMahon was about to send Heyman packing with two notorious words, Brock's music reverberated throughout the arena and the hulking behemoth laid out Mr. McMahon with a crushing F-5, which appears to have inflicted serious injury on the WWE Chairman.

Ultimately, this injury is probably a work, allowing the company a chance to write Mr. McMahon off of TV and bring back Triple H to avenge his father-in-law. Keep in mind, McMahon may be in great shape, but he is rapidly approaching 70, so continually taking bumps like this could cause some serious issues.

In case you missed it, Brock Lesnar returned to the WWE during the final segment of Raw. His return was met with much fanfare, as it appears the WWE Universe is ready for the former WWE champ to get back in the ring. Overall, with the exception of the WWE spoiling Lesnar's return on Twitter, I feel the company did a great job reintroducing him.

Now, you may remember, a few months back, rumors circulated that a Lesnar-Triple H feud was likely for WrestleMania 29. Now, it appears that the company has successfully found a way to get this feud rolling.

To me, the buildup for this feud should be pretty solid as both Lesnar and Triple H are great at drawing emotion from fans. That being said, I am hopeful that Triple H will make this his last match. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that he is stale or can't go in the ring, but rather that it's time for him to make the change to full-time management.

Let's face it: Triple H can't keep coming off as an anti-establishment guy when he is the establishment. Ultimately, Vince McMahon needs to pass the torch on-air and make Triple H the TV face of WWE's Board of Directors. This would not only give Triple H some credibility as a leader, but it would also give Vinnie-Mac a true curtain call.

In the end, I guess we will have to wait and see what the future holds for McMahon, especially if this injury is real.
