Greatest American Professional Wrestlers of All Time

Being an American is an exclusive responsibility of a pro wrestling performer that is rarely carried out through his or her gimmick.  Some wrestlers are American through overt expressions of patriotism like carrying around an American Flag.  Others express their patriotism through dominant, aggressive personality traits that made them legendary.

Kurt Angle is pro wrestling’s only Olympic gold medalist.  The fact that he won that he won that gold medal for the United States makes him an even more dignified American wrestler.

Hulk Hogan’s American roots blasted through PA systems each night at live shows.  The original real American integrated a decided sense of pride for his country through his theme music both in WWE and WCW.

Stone Cold Steve Austin, while he didn’t wave a flag around or wear red, white and blue trunks, put the red in red, white and blue as a bionic redneck from deep in the heart of Texas.  And one who didn’t back down from anybody.
