Maryland 83, Duke 74

It may have been a quarterfinal matchup on paper but Friday night's ACC Tournament clash between Duke and Maryland had the intensity of a championship game.

With their NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament hopes on the line, Maryland came out strong and never trailed against the No. 2 Blue Devils.

Dez Wells led the charge for the Terrapins with a career-high 30 points while Jake Layman and Alex Len both scored 10 points for Mark Turgeon's team.

Duke's inability to shoot from beyond the arc was their downfall as the Blue Devils shot 4-of-25 from three-point range.

Maryland will play the winner of the North Carolina-Florida State quarterfinal that is being played later tonight in the semifinals on Saturday.
