Big news coming from Waco, Texas, as it appears a high school senior has broken a 22-year-old power-lifting record once held by Mark Henry.

According to SEScoops.com:

Waco, Texas high school senior Andrew Billings has broken Mark Henry’s state power lifting record. Billings lifted 2,010 pounds – including a squat at 805 pounds, a 500-pound bench press and 705 pound dead lift.

Henry’s record stood for 22 years until this weekend.

Billings is only 18 years old and will be playing football at Baylor starting next year.

Overall, this record was bound to be broken, but who would have thought that it would have taken this long. Coincidentally, Henry was roughly the same age when he took over the record and as we all know, Henry went on to great things after this and is still a WWE mainstay at 41.

Keep in mind, Henry was widely considered to be the best at what he did and many thought of him as the world's strongest man. This—for obvious reasons—became Henry’s nickname in WWE. So even though Billings has broken this record he still has big shoes to fill.

That being said, Billings still has his whole life in front of him, so who knows what the future holds for the 18-year-old.

At 6'2", 308 pounds, Billings stands to be one of the biggest—if not strongest—players at his position. So there is a very good chance that we haven't heard the last from the soon-to-be freshmen. Ultimately, if he continues to power lift, he could very well break free from football and follow a similar path as Henry.

In the end, we will have to wait and see what happens to Billings. Until then, we get to watch this video (seen here) and wonder what may be.
