On Thursday, the Denver Broncos announced their 2013 preseason opponents.

Denver will play all four of the teams in the NFC West, starting on the road and closing out the preseason at home.  The tentative schedule can be seen below:

Week 1: at San Francisco 49ers—Aug. 8-11 (TBD)
Week 2: at Seattle Seahawks—Aug. 15-19 (TBD)
Week 3: vs. St. Louis Rams—Saturday, Aug. 24, 6 p.m. MDT (Nationally televised on CBS)
Week 4: vs. Arizona Cardinals—Aug. 29 or 30 (TBD)

The exact date and times for three of Denver's preseason games and still to be announced.  The team's full 2013 schedule is expected to be announced on April 16th, according to Sports Business Journal's John Ourand.

Last year, Denver's first preseason game was played on August 9th, about two weeks after the start of training camp (July 26).  With this year's first preseason game tentatively scheduled for the 8th, we can expect training camp to start on or near Thursday, July 25th.

In the regular season, the Broncos will play the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens at home.

On the road, in addition to their AFC West rivals, Denver will play the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and New England Patriots.

Our unofficial mock schedule has Denver opening the season against the Giants and finishing the year hosting the Chargers.  While Denver's regular season schedule is still to be announced, they are expected to receive up to six prime time games in 2013.

According to Gray Caldwell of the team's official site, the Broncos own a 127-114 (.527) all-time preseason record and have gone at last .500 in 15 of the past 17 seasons.  Denver went 2-2 in the preseason in 2012.
