Real Madrid saw off a very tough test from Levante with three late goals for a score of 5-1. Los Blancos were in control for the entire game, but poor finishing kept the visitors in until the dying moments.

Levante opened the scoring through a Michel strike on a counterattack. But Real Madrid responded quickly with two goals.

Gonzalo Higuain volleyed a brilliant shot from a deep pass from Xabi Alonso. Kaka then gave Madrid the lead when he calmly scored from the penalty spot.

Cristiano Ronaldo entered the game after halftime and immediately impacted the match.

Levante came out of the break with energy and looked set to equalize on several attempts, but the Madrid back line held strong.

After multiple attempts, Ronaldo was able to seal the win with a strike from the center of the box. But the game did not end there.

It was then Ronaldo who unselfishly assisted Ozil to make the score 4-1. Ozil then completed a brace in stoppage time after a counter from Angel Di Maria.

Los Blancos will now be hoping that Atletico drops points so they can extend their lead over their rivals in the table. But for the moment, Real Madrid will be celebrating while Levante's hopes of finishing in the European zone look very dim.

Live Score:

Real Madrid 5-1 Levante (Higuain, Kaka, Ronaldo, Ozil 2x - Michel)
