WrestleMania 29 takes place tonight from Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The headline match will feature John Cena against Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for the WWE Championship.

On most WrestleMania Sundays, the fight between the current generation's biggest superstar and one of the biggest from the Attitude Era would be one to draw plenty of excitement.

It was only a year ago when the two hooked up, and the result was a record buyrate and one of the best WrestleMania matches in the event's history, with The Rock coming out on top.

But a year later, the rematch has a different feel.

The Rock has several movie projects lined up and currently holds the WWE Championship. With the champion missing from Raw for several of the episodes leading up to WrestleMania, it seems as if a loss to Cena is imminent.

That brings up memories of WrestleMania 20, which was the last time the event was held in the New York City area.

On that card, the biggest match of the night was Brock Lesnar against Goldberg. It had been a match that WWE fans had wanted to see forever, but the NYC crowd gave it an entirely different feel.

On the Cageside Seats Blog, it's described how the bleacher creatures in Gotham put an entirely different spin on the match. Technically, it wasn't as bad of a match as most WWE fans remember, but it was the relentless crowd that made it one of the most infamous matches in WrestleMania history.

With Lesnar set to embark on a short professional football career with the Minnesota Vikings and Goldberg having his final match in the WWE, the crowd was sparing no expense to let the competitors know that they felt wronged.

Chants of "boring" and "na-na-na-na" rained down on the ring, and the two delivered a forgettable match that should not have been that forgettable.

That's where the danger of having Rock/Cena II with the title on the line lies.

A year ago, the company billed the match as being a once-in-a-lifetime event, but we're here again with the two ready to face off with a seemingly predictable outcome.

In a nightmarish scenario for the WWE, the crowd could rain down boos on the man once known as the people's champ and turn excitement for a potential rubber match at WrestleMania 30 into a rain-soaked parade.

Odds are, the main event will be solid enough to satisfy the lofty standards of WrestleMania. However, if the crowd gets going, it could live in infamy for what it doesn't deliver.
