WWE WrestleMania XXIX: What Happens to the WWE Moving Toward Extreme Rules?

It wasn't the best. It wasn't the worst. Honestly, we could have seen a lot more from this event. We expected a lot more.

Oh, the WWE had better wake up and see return matches, quickly assembled feuds and wrestlers who really have no business being together in matches have got to go by way of Ahmed Johnson.

In my opinion, this year's WrestleMania 29 was a big disappointment. We wanted to see better. We wanted to see a heel turn. We wanted to be shocked and awed. We got none of that.

We saw a streak continue. We saw a lackluster WWE title match and then a cheesy ending with a handshake and a hug. This is not The Rock and Hulk Hogan. It was a recreation of a move made before at another WrestleMania.

Now, we more toward Extreme Rules with many questions left unanswered (it always happens this way after we all plunk down money to see an event).  I was left unsatisfied. I was left cheated, and now, with Extreme Rules on the horizon, the WWE had better come correct.

What happens with Dolph Ziggler and the World Title? Does he meet Alberto Del Rio or does Jack Swagger invoke his return match clause? Does The Miz have to do the same thing with Wade Barrett? What happens to the women's title, which was left off the pay-per-view menu?

Will Randy Orton and Big Show go at it in St. Louis? Will the events of the night lead to Sheamus and Orton battling it out? I smell heel change. Also Ryback gave us a great moment in New Jersey. I assume he is locked into another battle with Mark Henry.

Please, WWE. We do not need to see Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. We do not need to see a third match between himself and Triple H. And we surely don't need to see Shawn Michaels dancing around the ring like a little girl.

Is there another contender for John Cena besides CM Punk? Does The Rock want another shot at the title? And how long can we expect Punk out of action before he returns? Hopefully, based on his performance, we have not seen the last of The Undertaker this year.

That might be enough to chew on after seeing WrestleMania. There are 41 days until we do this all over again in St. Louis.

Hopefully, the product will be better.
