With the WWE beginning a concussion storyline with Triple H on this week’s Raw, it appears as though The Game's feud with Brock Lesnar is over.
So what's next for Lesnar? The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting, via wrestlinginc.com, that we may be seeing The Best vs. The Beast sometime soon.
"There is said to be no laid out program for Brock Lesnar now that the feud with Triple H is over. Some people in the know within WWE are strongly speculating that WWE goes with a babyface CM Punk vs. Lesnar much sooner than later, with the idea of Heyman turning on Punk."
Of course, take this news with a grain of salt as even the Observer is noting that there are no laid out plans.
But regardless, this would certainly be an interesting direction for both megastars.
Perhaps the most important point here is that Punk will be a babyface for the program. Some fans may find this a little unsettling; The Second City Saint is a solid babyface but an incredible heel.
However, the benefit of that situation is that Heyman and Punk would be enemies.
While they make a great team, their verbal jousting would almost certainly be the highlight of every Raw program they're featured on.
There is the issue, though, of how Punk matches up with Brock. He may be the Best in the World, but how believable an opponent would he be for a former UFC heavyweight champion?
What do you think? Do they match up? Do you want to see Heyman and Punk split up? Should Lesnar be the one to turn babyface, or should this feud simply not happen? Let us know in the comment section below.
