Real Sociedad head into the penultimate match of their La Liga campaign against Real Madrid in desperate need of a positive result. The club is currently tied with Valencia for the final Champions League spot but hold the tiebreaker.

The Erreala have a match with 17th-place Deportivo in the finale. So if they can find a way to secure all three points against the Blancos, they will be in prime position to secure the Champions League berth on the final matchday.

Real Sociedad do get the benefit of playing a Real Madrid side with nothing left to play for. Last season's champions are already locked into the top three. So there should be no question as to which club is more motivated on Sunday.

Here's a look at all the viewing information for the crucial league clash, followed by a couple players to watch and a match prediction.

Where: Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian, Spain

When: Sunday, May 26 at 2 p.m. ET

Watch: Sky Sports 1 and beIN Sport Espanol

Live Stream: Sky Go

Real Sociedad Player to Watch: Imanol Agirretxe

The attacking burden will fall squarely on the shoulders of Agirretxe with Carlos Vela unavailable. The 26-year-old striker has enjoyed another solid season for Real Sociedad, netting 13 goals and chipping in four assists in 32 league appearances.

His form has been particularly good lately. He's scored seven times over the past nine matches, including the game-winning tally against Sevilla last weekend. The Erreala need him to keep the hot streak alive for a couple more weeks.

Agirretxe can expect to face a lot of pressure from the Blancos back line, which knows slowing him down is the biggest defensive key to success. The number of touches he gets within the first half hour will be a strong indicator of the match's direction.

Real Madrid Player to Watch: Luka Modric

Although Modric has struggled to find top form during his first campaign with the Blancos, he's made some nice progress in the latter stages. A strong finish should help him build confidence as he starts looking toward next season.

A constant playmaking threat during his time with Tottenham, the veteran midfielder found it difficult to assume a similar role with Real Madrid. But he's seemingly found a comfort zone playing behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil.

The club isn't going to be happy about rival Barcelona returning to the top of La Liga. So the final few matches of the season are key for Modric to prove he can play a vital role moving forward. He doesn't want to get lost in the shuffle.

Matchup to Watch: Erreala back line vs. Blancos attack

The first meeting of the season between the clubs—which took place back in January—resulted in a 4-3 victory for Real Madrid. Ronaldo scored twice in a three-minute span to provide the Blancos with a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

Real Sociedad are going to need a much better defensive effort to get a positive result in the rematch. The onus is on the centre-back duo of Mikel Gonzalez and Inigo Martinez to force the dangerous Real Madrid attack to the outside.

It won't be an easy task, of course. When you combine striker Gonzalo Higuain with the trio of Ronaldo, Ozil and Angel di Maria, it's clear Real Madrid have no shortage of players capable of taking over the match.

Real Sociedad won't be able to contain them all, leading to a draw. It would be an acceptable result for the Erreala but not the one they wanted.
