Twins pitchers have so far held opponents to a .670 OPS, the AL average OPS is .728. The Twins hitters have managed just a .637 OPS. Is there hope for the Twins?
Well, if Morneau keeps hitting homers, maybe it won't be so bad.
Update: The stats keep changing as games get finished up today, but according to ESPN the Twins are 8th in the majors in run prevention (this includes the DH-less NL), while they rank 27th in the Majors in OPS (again, this means there are a bunch of NL teams who are scoring more runs than the Twins)

For the record, I think that quality start is one of the worst statistics of all time. Yesterday's game was filled with mental mistakes, including Gomez's "extended single".

I agree that a QS doesn't tell the whole story, BOOF spent far too much time mopping up the messes he made, but its useful to show that he didn't pitch us out of the game. He and Blackburn have both thrown good games and been betrayed by the offense.
