The Top Pitching Duos in MLB

Zachary D. Rymer@zachrymerMLB Lead WriterMay 29, 2013

Every team in Major League Baseball needs at least one ace. It’s a must to have that one top guy who can beat the other team’s top guy, and who can stop losing streaks when need be.

But heck, why stop at one ace when you can have two?

We’ve seen some great pitching duos through the years, from Koufax/Drysdale to Maddux/Glavine to Johnson/Schilling. And in this, a golden age for pitching, it’s only natural that there would be so many great pitching duos across the baseball landscape these days.

Frankly, it’s hard to pick out the best ones…but B/R Pop Culture Lead Writer Gabe Zaldivar and I did that anyway. Our picks for the top pitching duos in MLB won’t please everyone, but they should please folks in Seattle, Chicago, Detroit and Washington D.C.
