As rain pours onto Yankee Stadium, Selena Roberts was seen in a yellow rain coat and a clipboard, jotting down notes as Joba Chamberlain walked around the field.
Selena Roberts, a senior writer for Sports Illustrated, has just finished writing a book about Alex Rodriguez and every move he has made in his life, even when he urinated in a public unisex restroom and didn't lift the seat up or flush. Rumors are, he didn't wash his hands, either. MLB is investigating the incident.
Roberts is now spending her time in Nebraska as she was undercover as a drug user named Iwanta Morespeed. She caught Chamberlain's mom red-handed this past weekend, as Jacqueline Standley, 44, has sold drugs for her last time.
The following report is taking from the New York Post:
The mother of Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain has been jailed in Nebraska and faces a felony charge after being arrested on suspicion of selling methamphetamine to an undercover police officer in February.
Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said Monday that 44-year-old Jacqueline Standley was arrested at her apartment Saturday night.
Beggs said she allegedly sold 1 gram of a substance believed to be meth to an uncover officer for $110 on Feb. 11. The substance tested positive for meth in testing at the state laboratory.
She was charged Monday with delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug. Her bail was set at $5,000, and she was assigned a public defender, whose name was not on her jail record.
With this being said, Roberts is now working on her second book, and suspects that Joba Chamberlain gets his velocity from pills, not hard work and passion for the game.
She also has taken an intriguing photo of Chamberlain where he was seen smoking a substance out of a hollow baseball.
Roberts has mentioned she would like to delve into the personal life of Yankee legend Yogi Berra for her third book, claiming that he has added more years onto his life by drinking too many Five Hour Power Energy shots.
