New Manchester United manager David Moyes made defender Guillermo Varela his first signing at Old Trafford, but more deals are sure to follow before United begin the defence of their Premier League title.

Among those linked with a move to United are Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara, who starred for Spain at the European Under-21 Championships and may feel he needs to leave Barcelona to get regular playing time.

Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic is another rumoured to be interesting Moyes. Vucinic has been linked to United in the past, but this time the Reds may find themselves competing with another Premier League club if they are keen on landing his signature.

Finally, we look at United’s reported interest in young Dutch midfield Marco van Ginkel.

In this clip, B/R’s Will Tidey calls fact or fiction on three of Manchester United’s latest big-name transfer rumours. Be sure to leave your opinion on these players and the likelihood of their joining United in the comments section below.
