Jalyn Holmes, 4-star weak-side defensive end, committed to Ohio State days after an unofficial visit to Columbus.

Holmes, the No. 4 player at his position according to the 247Sports composite rankings, represents Urban Meyer's 11th 2014 commitment. He hails from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Va., and he's the No. 4 player from the state.

Considering the talent coming out of Virginia this year, that says a lot about him.

Holmes took to Twitter to emphatically announce his commitment:

He then sent out a tweet that clearly stated his goal while at Ohio State:

GO BUCKEYES !!!!!!!!!! Lets get this title !!!!! #BuckeyeNation STAND UP

The good news for Holmes is, if a national championship is his goal, he made a great choice in committing to Ohio State.

What exactly will Holmes be bringing to the table for OSU though?

First and foremost, he's a great athlete. He plays tight end on offense for Lake Taylor, so that shows you his versatility and athleticism. He has good quickness and explosion, and that gives him an advantage at the line of scrimmage.

Holmes has a quick first step and is explosive enough to shoot the gap, control it and get into the backfield. He can come down the line and he's great in pursuit. He's strong enough to fight through blocks and he'll be able to set the edge and keep his outside arm free on stretch plays to his side.

He's a fundamental tackler who wraps up well, drives his feet on contact and isn't afraid to be aggressive.

At 6'5'', 225 pounds he has great size for a weak-side defensive end. His height will give him a length advantage, which ultimately means he'll be able to use his hands to create separation and combat blockers.

At 225 pounds though, he'll also be able to hold his own against the run game, so overall, he projects to be a complete defensive end.
