This video is part of B/R's new series "The Rookies," where we take the helmets off the players and bring you closer to their lives and personalities.

Johnathan Franklin is a driven man. He's driven to greatness on the field and off of it.

The Packers' fourth-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft possesses lofty political aspirations, including being a city's mayor one day. Seeing that Franklin penned a four-year deal with the Pack, it seems that Green Bay is the most likely municipality for his mayoral activities.

With the 2015 election approaching in two years, Franklin is wasting no time by hitting the streets of Green Bay to shake some hands, kiss some babies and announce his candidacy.

Watch as Franklin meets with ardent Packers fans and Green Bay business owners in order to launch his 2015 campaign.

Let us know in the comments whether or not Franklin can expect your vote, and if you're on Twitter, use the hashtag #franklinformayor.
